Αϊνού
The Αϊνού (Ainu) are an indigenous people primarily found in Hokkaido, Japan, and parts of Siberia. They have a distinct culture, language, and traditional practices that set them apart from the majority populations in these regions. Historically, the Ainu relied on fishing, hunting, and gathering for their livelihood, and they have a rich tradition of oral storytelling and craftsmanship.
Ainu culture is characterized by unique rituals, clothing, and art forms, including intricate wood carvings and textiles. The Ainu language is considered endangered, and efforts are being made to revitalize it. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of Ainu rights and cultural heritage within Japan.
