{Second Anglo-Dutch War
The Second Anglo-Dutch War took place from 1665 to 1667, primarily between the Kingdom of England and the Dutch Republic. It was largely driven by trade competition and colonial expansion, as both nations sought to control maritime trade routes and overseas territories.
The war featured several naval battles, including the notable Battle of Lowestoft and the Four Days' Battle. Ultimately, the conflict ended with the Treaty of Breda in 1667, which resulted in territorial concessions and a temporary peace, but tensions between the two powers continued in subsequent years.
