yaguareté
The yaguareté, also known as the jaguar, is a large wild cat native to the Americas. It is the largest feline in the Americas and the third-largest in the world, after the tiger and lion. Yaguaretés are known for their powerful build, distinctive coat with rosettes, and strong jaws, which allow them to hunt a variety of prey, including deer and capybaras.
Yaguaretés primarily inhabit tropical rainforests, swamps, and grasslands, with a range that extends from the southern United States to northern Argentina. They are solitary animals, marking their territory with scent markings. Unfortunately, the yaguareté is currently listed as near threatened due to habitat loss and poaching.
