touchdowns
A touchdown is a scoring play in American football that occurs when a player carries the ball into the opponent's end zone or catches it there. A touchdown is worth six points and is one of the primary ways teams score during a game. After scoring a touchdown, the team has the opportunity to earn additional points through a conversion attempt.
Following a touchdown, teams can choose to attempt a two-point conversion or a PAT (point after touchdown). A two-point conversion involves running or passing the ball into the end zone from the two-yard line, while a PAT is a kick from the 15-yard line worth one point.
