two-point conversion
A two-point conversion is a play in American football that occurs after a team scores a touchdown. Instead of kicking an extra point for one additional point, the team can attempt to advance the ball into the end zone again from the two-yard line. If successful, they earn two extra points.
This strategy is often used when a team wants to increase their score significantly, especially in close games. Coaches may choose this option to gain an advantage or to catch up to their opponents. However, it carries a higher risk than a standard extra point kick.
