the Dead Sea
The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and Palestine to the west. It is one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world, with a salt concentration of around 30%. This high salinity prevents most aquatic life, hence the name "Dead Sea."
The Dead Sea is also famous for its mineral-rich mud and water, which are believed to have therapeutic properties. It is situated at the lowest point on Earth's surface, approximately 430 meters (1,411 feet) below sea level, making it a unique geographical feature.
