tension-type headache
A tension-type headache is a common form of headache characterized by a dull, aching pain and a sensation of tightness or pressure around the forehead or back of the head and neck. It can occur on one or both sides of the head and is often triggered by stress, anxiety, or muscle tension.
These headaches can last from 30 minutes to several days and may be accompanied by mild sensitivity to light or sound. Unlike migraines, tension-type headaches do not typically cause nausea or vomiting. Treatment often includes over-the-counter pain relievers and stress management techniques.
