stamens
Stamens are the male reproductive parts of a flower. Each stamen typically consists of two main parts: the anther and the filament. The anther produces pollen, which contains the male gametes, while the filament supports the anther and holds it in a position to facilitate pollination.
In many flowering plants, stamens are arranged in a circle around the central pistil, which is the female reproductive part. When pollinators like bees or butterflies visit a flower, they transfer pollen from the anthers of one flower to the stigma of another, enabling fertilization and the production of seeds.
