rajas (Energy)
In Hindu philosophy, particularly in the context of Samkhya and Yoga, "rajas" refers to one of the three gunas, or fundamental qualities that influence human behavior and the nature of the universe. Rajas is characterized by activity, dynamism, and passion. It drives individuals to seek action, change, and achievement, often leading to restlessness and desire.
Rajas is essential for motivation and progress, but when it dominates, it can lead to stress and agitation. Balancing rajas with the other gunas, sattva (purity and harmony) and tamas (inertia and darkness), is crucial for achieving mental clarity and emotional stability in life.
