plastering
Plastering is the process of applying a mixture of materials, typically made from gypsum, lime, or cement, to walls and ceilings. This mixture is spread over surfaces to create a smooth, even finish. Plastering is commonly used in construction and renovation to prepare surfaces for painting or wallpapering.
The plaster can also provide insulation and soundproofing benefits. Once applied, it hardens and can be sanded or painted over. Skilled workers known as plasterers use various tools, such as trowels and floats, to achieve the desired texture and finish on the surfaces they work on.
