madhhab
A "madhhab" is a school of thought within Islamic jurisprudence that provides guidelines for interpreting Sharia law. Each madhhab has its own methodologies and principles for deriving legal rulings, reflecting the diverse practices and beliefs within the Muslim community. The four most recognized Sunni madhhabs are Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali.
Madhhabs also play a significant role in shaping the religious and cultural identity of Muslim communities. They influence various aspects of daily life, including prayer, fasting, and charity. While followers of different madhhabs may have varying practices, they all share a common foundation in the teachings of Islam.
