Lago Titicaca is the largest lake in South America and sits at an elevation of about 3,812 meters (12,507 feet) above sea level. It is located on the border between Peru and Bolivia and covers an area of approximately 8,372 square kilometers (3,232 square miles). The lake is known for its deep blue waters and stunning scenery, surrounded by the Andes mountains.
The lake is also famous for its unique floating islands, made from reeds, which are inhabited by the Uros people. These islands are a popular tourist attraction, showcasing traditional lifestyles and crafts.
