kızamık
kızamık, or measles, is a highly contagious viral infection that primarily affects children. It is characterized by symptoms such as high fever, cough, runny nose, and a distinctive red rash that usually appears a few days after the initial symptoms. The virus spreads through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent kızamık. The MMR vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps, and rubella, is typically administered in childhood. While most people recover without complications, kızamık can lead to serious health issues, including pneumonia and encephalitis, especially in young children and those with weakened immune systems.
