independent (Self-sufficient)
Being independent, or self-sufficient, means that a person or entity can meet their own needs without relying on others. This can include financial independence, where an individual earns enough money to support themselves, or emotional independence, where a person can manage their feelings and decisions without needing constant support from others.
Self-sufficiency can also apply to communities or countries that produce their own food, energy, and resources. For example, a sustainable farm that grows its own crops and raises livestock is considered self-sufficient because it does not depend on outside sources for its basic needs.
