hemangiomas
Hemangiomas are benign tumors made up of blood vessels. They often appear as red or purple marks on the skin, commonly found in infants. These growths can vary in size and may develop on any part of the body, but they usually do not cause pain or other health issues.
Most hemangiomas grow rapidly during the first year of life and then gradually shrink over time. By the age of 5 to 10, many hemangiomas disappear completely. While treatment is rarely needed, doctors may monitor them to ensure they do not interfere with vision or other functions.
