Capillary Hemangioma
A capillary hemangioma is a benign tumor made up of small blood vessels, often appearing as a red or purple mark on the skin. These growths are most commonly found in infants and usually develop within the first few weeks of life. They can vary in size and may grow rapidly before gradually shrinking over time.
Typically, capillary hemangiomas do not require treatment unless they interfere with vision, breathing, or other functions. In most cases, they resolve on their own by the age of 5 to 10 years. Monitoring by a healthcare professional is recommended to ensure proper management.
