giant pandas
Giant pandas are large, bear-like mammals native to the mountainous regions of China. They are easily recognized by their distinctive black and white fur, with black patches around their eyes, ears, and on their limbs. Adult giant pandas typically weigh between 220 to 330 pounds and can grow up to 6 feet in length.
These animals primarily eat bamboo, which makes up about 99% of their diet. Despite being classified as carnivores, giant pandas have adapted to a herbivorous diet. They spend most of their day foraging for bamboo and can consume up to 40 pounds of it daily to meet their nutritional needs.
