Red Panda
The red panda is a small mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It has a distinctive reddish-brown fur, a long, bushy tail, and a face that resembles a raccoon. Red pandas primarily inhabit temperate forests and are known for their tree-climbing abilities. They are mostly nocturnal and spend much of their time foraging for bamboo, fruits, and insects.
Red pandas are classified as endangered due to habitat loss and poaching. They play a crucial role in their ecosystem by helping to maintain the health of bamboo forests. Conservation efforts are underway to protect their natural habitats and ensure their survival in the wild.
