frank breech
Frank breech is a type of breech presentation where a baby is positioned in the womb with its buttocks down and legs extended upward, resembling a sitting position. This occurs in about 1-3% of pregnancies and can complicate delivery.
In a frank breech position, the baby's head is typically at the top of the uterus, making vaginal delivery more challenging. Healthcare providers may recommend a cesarean section for safer delivery, especially if the baby is not in a favorable position closer to the due date.
