Breech Presentation
Breech Presentation occurs when a baby is positioned in the womb with its buttocks or feet facing down instead of the head. This position can complicate delivery, as the head is usually the first part to exit the birth canal. Breech presentations can be classified into three types: complete, incomplete, and frank breech, depending on the baby's position.
Doctors often monitor breech presentations closely during pregnancy. If the baby remains in this position close to the due date, options may include external cephalic version to turn the baby or planning a cesarean section for delivery to ensure the safety of both mother and child.
