digestive organs
Digestive organs are parts of the body that help break down food into nutrients. The process starts in the mouth, where food is chewed and mixed with saliva. It then travels down the esophagus to the stomach, where it is further digested with acids and enzymes.
From the stomach, the partially digested food moves into the small intestine, where most nutrient absorption occurs. The remaining waste then passes into the large intestine, where water is absorbed, and finally exits the body through the rectum. Each organ plays a crucial role in the digestive process.
