biyodizel
Biyodizel, or biodiesel, is a renewable fuel made from natural sources like vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled cooking oil. It can be used in diesel engines and is often blended with conventional diesel fuel. Biyodizel is considered more environmentally friendly because it produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels.
The production of biyodizel involves a process called transesterification, where oils or fats are converted into fatty acid methyl esters (FAME). This process not only helps reduce waste by utilizing used cooking oil but also supports local agriculture by using crops like soybeans or rapeseed for oil production.
