baobabs
Baobabs are large, iconic trees native to Africa and Australia. They are known for their thick trunks, which can store water, allowing them to survive in arid climates. Some species can live for over a thousand years, making them some of the oldest living organisms on Earth.
These trees have a unique appearance, often resembling upside-down trees with their wide, bulbous trunks and sparse branches. Baobabs produce large, white flowers that bloom at night and are pollinated by bats. The fruit, known as "monkey bread," is rich in vitamin C and is consumed by both animals and humans.
