anterior tibial artery
The anterior tibial artery is a major blood vessel in the lower leg. It branches off from the popliteal artery and runs down the front of the leg, supplying oxygenated blood to the muscles and tissues in that area.
As it travels, the anterior tibial artery eventually becomes the dorsalis pedis artery at the ankle, which continues to supply blood to the foot. This artery plays a crucial role in maintaining proper circulation and function in the lower extremities.
