The Dorsalis Pedis Artery is a major blood vessel located on the top of the foot. It is a continuation of the Anterior Tibial Artery, which branches from the Popliteal Artery in the leg. Clinically, the dorsalis pedis artery can be palpated to assess blood flow to the foot. Its presence and pulse are important indicators of vascular health.
