Zionist Organization
The Zionist Organization is a group founded in 1897 to promote the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. It was established during the first Zionist Congress held in Basel, Switzerland, led by Theodor Herzl. The organization aimed to unite Jewish communities worldwide to support the movement for a national home for the Jewish people.
Over the years, the Zionist Organization played a significant role in advocating for Jewish immigration to Palestine and the development of Jewish institutions. It contributed to the establishment of the Jewish Agency and worked towards the creation of the state of Israel in 1948.
