Zhu Yuanzhang
Zhu Yuanzhang was the founder of the Ming Dynasty in China, ruling from 1368 to 1398. Born into a poor peasant family in 1328, he faced many hardships in his early life, including the loss of his parents. Zhu eventually joined a Buddhist monastery and later became involved in the anti-Yuan dynasty rebellion, which led to his rise in power.
In 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang successfully overthrew the Yuan Dynasty and declared himself the emperor, taking the name Hongwu. His reign focused on consolidating power, implementing land reforms, and promoting agriculture. Zhu's leadership helped restore stability and prosperity to China after years of turmoil.
