Zhao Tuo
Zhao Tuo was a Chinese military leader and politician during the late Qin Dynasty and early Han Dynasty. He is best known for founding the Nanyue kingdom in 204 BCE, which encompassed parts of modern-day southern China and northern Vietnam. Zhao Tuo was originally a general under the Qin regime but later declared independence, establishing his own rule.
Zhao Tuo's reign lasted until his death in 137 BCE. He is recognized for promoting trade and cultural exchange between China and neighboring regions. His kingdom played a significant role in the history of southern China, influencing the development of local cultures and economies.
