Zeliangrong language
The Zeliangrong language is a member of the Sino-Tibetan language family, primarily spoken by the Zeliangrong people in parts of northeastern India, particularly in the states of Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam. It encompasses several dialects, including Zeme, Zeliang, and Rongmei, which are used by different communities within the Zeliangrong ethnic group.
Zeliangrong speakers have a rich cultural heritage, with their language serving as a vital medium for traditional practices, folklore, and community identity. Efforts are ongoing to preserve and promote the language, as it faces challenges from dominant regional languages and globalization.
