Zeliangrong People
The Zeliangrong People are an indigenous ethnic group primarily found in the northeastern region of India, particularly in the states of Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam. They are a combination of three major tribes: the Zeme, Liangmai, and Rongmei. The Zeliangrong community has a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and festivals that reflect their unique identity.
Traditionally, the Zeliangrong People are engaged in agriculture, with rice being a staple crop. They have a strong sense of community and practice various forms of governance through village councils. Their social structure is matrilineal, and they maintain a deep connection to their ancestral lands and customs.
