Yukaghir language
The Yukaghir language is a language spoken by the Yukaghir people, an indigenous group in northeastern Siberia, Russia. It belongs to the Yukaghir language family, which is considered a language isolate, meaning it has no known relatives. There are two main dialects: Tundra Yukaghir and Taiga Yukaghir, each with distinct features.
Today, the Yukaghir language is critically endangered, with only a few speakers remaining. Efforts are being made to revitalize the language through education and cultural programs, as it holds significant historical and cultural value for the Yukaghir community.
