Yugoslav People's Army
The Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) was the military force of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Established in 1945, it played a crucial role in the country's defense and was known for its multi-ethnic composition, reflecting the diverse population of Yugoslavia. The JNA was involved in various military operations and peacekeeping missions during its existence.
Following the breakup of Yugoslavia in the early 1990s, the JNA became increasingly involved in the conflicts that arose during the dissolution. It officially disbanded in 1992, leading to the formation of separate national armies in the newly independent states, such as Serbia and Croatia.
