Yoke
A yoke is a wooden beam used to join two animals, typically oxen, together for the purpose of pulling a plow or cart. This device allows the animals to work in unison, distributing the load evenly and making it easier to move heavy objects. Yokes have been used in agriculture for centuries, facilitating farming tasks and transportation.
In addition to its agricultural use, the term "yoke" can also refer to a part of clothing, such as the yoke of a shirt, which is the section that fits around the shoulders. This design element helps provide structure and shape to garments, enhancing both fit and comfort.
