Yigal Alon
Yigal Alon was an Israeli politician and military leader, born on December 10, 1918, in Kfar Saba, Palestine. He played a significant role in the founding of the State of Israel and served in various capacities, including as a commander in the Israel Defense Forces during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
Alon was a member of the Knesset and held several ministerial positions, including Minister of Education and Minister of Labor. He is also known for the Alon Plan, which proposed a framework for territorial compromise in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He passed away on February 29, 1980.
