Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon
The Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon is located in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is one of the deepest and longest canyons in the world, stretching approximately 504.6 kilometers (313 miles) along the Yarlung Tsangpo River. The canyon features dramatic cliffs, diverse ecosystems, and stunning landscapes, making it a significant natural wonder.
This canyon is often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Himalayas" due to its impressive depth, which reaches over 5,500 meters (18,000 feet) in some areas. The Yarlung Tsangpo River flows through the canyon, originating from the Mount Kailash region and eventually merging with the Brahmaputra River in India.
