Yamauchi Kazutoyo
Yamauchi Kazutoyo was a prominent Japanese samurai and feudal lord during the late Sengoku period. Born in 1533, he initially served the Miyoshi clan but later became a loyal retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Kazutoyo played a significant role in the unification of Japan and was known for his military skills and strategic acumen.
After the unification, Kazutoyo was granted the domain of Tosa in Shikoku, where he became the first lord of the Yamauchi clan. He is remembered for his efforts in developing the region and promoting agriculture, which contributed to the prosperity of Tosa during the early Edo period.
