Yáqui
The Yáqui are an Indigenous people primarily located in the northwestern region of Mexico, particularly in the state of Sonora. They have a rich cultural heritage, including traditional music, dance, and crafts. The Yáqui language, part of the Uto-Aztecan language family, is still spoken by many community members.
Historically, the Yáqui faced significant challenges, including conflicts with the Mexican government during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, they continue to advocate for their rights and preserve their cultural identity, while also engaging in various economic activities, including agriculture and tourism.
