Wu Yuxiang
Wu Yuxiang was a prominent Chinese martial artist and a key figure in the development of Tai Chi Chuan. Born in 1812 in Hunan Province, he is best known for his contributions to the Wu style of Tai Chi, which emphasizes slow, graceful movements and deep breathing.
Wu Yuxiang studied under Yang Luchan, the founder of the Yang style, and later developed his own interpretation of Tai Chi. He also authored the influential text "Tai Chi Chuan Treatise," which outlines the principles and philosophy behind the practice, helping to popularize Tai Chi in China and beyond.
