World War II Alliances
During World War II, two main alliances formed: the Allies and the Axis. The Allies included countries like the United States, Soviet Union, United Kingdom, and China, who united to fight against the aggression of the Axis powers. Their goal was to stop the expansion of Nazi Germany, Italy, and Japan.
The Axis powers sought to expand their territories and influence. Led by Adolf Hitler in Germany, Benito Mussolini in Italy, and Emperor Hirohito in Japan, they aimed to establish dominance in Europe and Asia. The conflict between these alliances shaped the course of history and led to significant global changes.
