Woodworm
Woodworm refers to the larvae of various wood-boring beetles that infest and damage wooden structures, furniture, and other wooden items. These larvae tunnel through the wood, creating small holes and weakening the material over time. Common species include the common furniture beetle and the powderpost beetle.
The presence of woodworm can be identified by the tiny exit holes in the wood and fine powdery dust, known as frass, that accumulates nearby. Treatment options include chemical insecticides and professional pest control services to eliminate the infestation and prevent further damage to the affected wood.
