Wolesi Jirga
The Wolesi Jirga is the lower house of the National Assembly of Afghanistan. It consists of 250 members who are elected by the public for a five-year term. The Wolesi Jirga plays a crucial role in the legislative process, including the approval of laws and the national budget.
Members of the Wolesi Jirga represent various provinces and are responsible for voicing the concerns of their constituents. The house works alongside the upper house, known as the Meshrano Jirga, to create a balanced legislative framework for the country.
