Witness Examination
Witness examination is a legal process where a witness is questioned in court to provide evidence about a case. This process helps the judge and jury understand the facts and circumstances surrounding the situation being examined. Witnesses can include anyone who has relevant information, such as bystanders, experts, or involved parties.
There are two main types of witness examination: direct examination and cross-examination. During direct examination, the party who called the witness asks questions to elicit information that supports their case. In contrast, cross-examination involves the opposing party questioning the witness to challenge their credibility or the accuracy of their statements.
