Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway
The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway (WW&F) was a narrow-gauge railroad in Maine, operating from 1895 to 1933. It connected the towns of Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington, facilitating transportation of goods and passengers in the region. The railway was known for its scenic routes and played a significant role in the local economy during its operation.
After ceasing operations, the railway fell into disrepair but was revived in the 1990s by the WW&F Railway Museum. Today, it operates as a heritage railway, offering rides and preserving the history of narrow-gauge railroads in Maine. Visitors can enjoy a glimpse into the past while exploring the restored trains and stations.
