Monson Railroad
The Monson Railroad was a narrow-gauge railroad located in the state of Maine, primarily operating between the towns of Monson and Kineo. Established in the late 19th century, it played a crucial role in transporting timber and passengers in the region. The railroad was known for its scenic routes, offering views of the surrounding forests and lakes.
In 1910, the Monson Railroad was officially incorporated, and it became part of the larger network of railroads in New England. Although it ceased operations in the 1930s, remnants of the railroad can still be found today, serving as a historical reminder of the area's industrial past and its connection to the timber industry.
