Wine Regions of Serbia
Serbia is home to several notable wine regions, primarily located in the northern and southern parts of the country. The most prominent regions include Vojvodina, known for its fertile plains and diverse grape varieties, and Sumadija, which features rolling hills and a rich winemaking tradition. These areas produce a range of wines, including both red and white varieties.
In addition to Vojvodina and Sumadija, the Timok Valley and Negotin regions are also significant for their unique terroirs and indigenous grape types. Serbian wines often showcase local varieties like Prokupac and Tamjanika, reflecting the country's rich viticultural heritage and growing reputation in the global wine market.
