Windows Me
Windows Me, short for Windows Millennium Edition, was an operating system released by Microsoft in September 2000. It was designed for home users and aimed to improve multimedia capabilities and internet connectivity. Windows Me introduced features like the System Restore tool, which allowed users to revert their computers to a previous state, and enhanced support for digital media.
Despite its advancements, Windows Me faced criticism for stability issues and compatibility problems with some software and hardware. It was the last version of the Windows 9x series, as Microsoft transitioned to the more robust Windows NT architecture with Windows XP in 2001.
