Wilhelmina of the Netherlands
Wilhelmina of the Netherlands was born on August 31, 1880, and became queen regnant of the Netherlands in 1890 at the age of 10, following the death of her father, King William III. Her reign lasted until 1948, making her one of the longest-serving monarchs in Dutch history.
During her time as queen, Wilhelmina faced significant challenges, including both World Wars. She was known for her strong leadership and dedication to her country, especially during the German occupation in World War II. In 1948, she abdicated in favor of her daughter, Juliana of the Netherlands.
