Wiccan Sabbats
Wiccan Sabbats are seasonal festivals celebrated by practitioners of Wicca, a modern pagan religion. There are eight Sabbats in total, marking the changing of the seasons and the cycles of nature. These include Samhain, Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, and Mabon. Each Sabbat has its own significance and traditions, often reflecting agricultural practices and the natural world.
The Sabbats are typically divided into two groups: the Greater Sabbats, which include Samhain, Yule, Beltane, and Litha, and the Lesser Sabbats, which are Imbolc, Ostara, Lammas, and Mabon. Celebrations often involve rituals, feasting, and honoring the cycles of life, death, and rebirth, fostering a connection to the earth and its rhythms.
