Whitetip Reef Shark
The Whitetip Reef Shark is a small shark species commonly found in tropical and subtropical waters of the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean. It typically grows to about 5.5 feet (1.7 meters) in length and is easily recognized by its distinctive white-tipped fins. These sharks prefer shallow coral reefs and are often seen resting on the ocean floor during the day.
Whitetip Reef Sharks are primarily nocturnal hunters, feeding on small fish and invertebrates. They are known for their curious nature and can often be seen swimming in groups. Despite their somewhat intimidating appearance, they are generally not aggressive towards humans.
