Nurse Shark
The Nurse Shark is a slow-moving species of shark found primarily in warm, shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. They are recognizable by their broad, flat heads and long, slender bodies, typically growing up to 10 feet in length. Nurse sharks are often seen resting on the ocean floor during the day and are known for their distinctive, rounded dorsal fins.
These sharks are primarily nocturnal feeders, preying on small fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. Unlike many other shark species, nurse sharks are generally docile and pose little threat to humans. They are often found in groups and can be seen in coral reefs and sandy bottoms.
